Q. Does my child need to know how to read to join book club?
Although the goal is for children become independent readers, they are not required to be reading entirely on their own to join book club. In fact, we encourage you to read the books together with your child to ensure they have a positive literary experience and to gain a good sense of the story and characters. Questions to guide their reading and discussion of the book will be provided before and during the meeting.
Q. How do I register?
At the moment, we ask that you send us an email and we'll be sure to get back to you as quickly as possible with information about registration and to answer any other questions you may have about our monthly sessions.
Q. What is included?
Upon registration your child will receive a welcome package that includes:

Each book club meeting includes:

Q. How do we receive our welcome kit and first book?
Caregivers will be able to pick up the welcome kit at a specified location in Dundas, Ontario.
Q. Do parents attend the book club meeting?
Though we welcome any questions you may have or insights about how the program is going for your child, we do ask that parents not attend the meetings. The goals is for kids to socialize with their peers and to share their thoughts and creativity in a fun, friendly, stress-free environment.
Q. What happens if we have to miss a meeting or the meeting is cancelled?
If we have to cancel a book club meeting we will reschedule that meeting for an alternate date. If you are unable to attend your originally scheduled book club meeting please refer to our cancellation policy in the registration package.
